#6 of 365 – “beneath the thumb”

“beneath the thumb”

tensions gather

in bunches

like mobs

against the bone

and unwilling

to go home

in spasms

of refusal

to leave

in their strategies

to duck

and deceive

they move

from one place

to another

cloaked in camouflage

but are defenseless

and naked

beneath the thumb

of massage
