#10 of 365 – “exemption”

“exemption”

my sculptures

sit ready,

growing dusty

and old,

waiting

on bookshelves

and chairs

to be sold,

waiting

for the one

true exemption

from death,

that when after

the last memory

of me fades

into the air,

there’s something

remaining

no one

can forget.
