#12 of 365 – “Jimi Hendrix”

“Jimi Hendrix”

jacks

put away

no time

to waste

invite

the unknown

clear-eyed

and barefaced

mind

that your happiness

doesn’t slip

down the street

keep watch

in the tower

for the love

you entreat

climb up

on a riff

where wind cries

on your lips

and taste fire

holding on

to the wing

of Hendrix

Reblogged this on mrchokeys and commented:
One poem from a Very Important Poet who has remained obscure. This will change. The team endorses this author wholeheartedly.
