#33 of 365 – “tender”

“tender”

she is disappointed, again

that I can’t give her what she wants

can’t fly on the wing

of spontaneous jaunts

so many losses

have come to pass

so many stumbles

in the morass

so many things

I cannot provide

faults that cause our plans

to collide

I feel lowly

as if I hold a constant cardboard sign

begging for tender

to clear the worthlessness out of my mind
