5 Haiku about money problems and marriage

money argument

she is so clear, I’m so vague

so not a good match

silence between us

I’m ashamed of how I feel

the pain of secrets

extra money is

juggling, smoke and mirror tricks

no circus training

I make her fatigued

love does not cure all dis-ease

debt is exhausting

financial baggage

she didn’t know her bags would

be heavier too

It’s not so much that you write such tight, thought-provoking verse…but that you do it EVERY day much like a journalist churning out the news. Love the “dis-ease” word deconstruction! Love it all, in fact…and ohhh…how I can relate to every word! Nicely done, Merle!

Thanks Ron! Sooo appreciate your encouragement! Don’t know if they’re all tight – everyday, but the fact that you think so makes me feel really good…I do try not to “phone it in.” I am very fortunate to have such a great friend as you.
