#142 of 365 – “soul”

“soul”

my warrior spirit

seems to have deserted me,

left me behind

my fortitude

slipped out too, after

a swift and steady decline

resolve is shaky,

on ground that feels flimsy

and unstable

and my stamina,

low on determination

leaves me powerless and unable

my knees are weak,

my mind stumbling

over fears I can’t control

but tomorrow

I’ll show up again

with nothing more than soul

Hon, just excellent! Do you think Tanya could work your poem into one of her posts?
(Small confession: I didn’t really “get” your poem until I read the tags at the end! Yeah, I know. I cheated. So what else is new?! ) 🙂

Thanks Ron! Well…I don’t know…I like to stay out of her writing sandbox. If she would like to throw it in somewhere, she knows where I live and knows I don’t mind. 😉 Thanks for the compliment and the suggestion!
