#204 of 365 – 4 Haiku about my wife

4 Haiku about my wife

a Marine’s daughter

she’s stronger than people like

black women to be

matched only by the metal

she wears over it

can’t pass a baby

without motherhood starting

all over again

it is gasoline

on raging disappointment

her love that’s for me

The 3rd one really gets to me for some reason–envy, maybe.

Solid writing from the heart and soul. The fourth leaves room for reader involvement and interpretation and is my favorite, although the third is a close second, showing as it does the softness and motherly instincts of your beloved T. May you both be blessed with peace, love, and joy now and forever. 🙂
