#218 of 365 – “husk”

“husk”

a lilting sky

blossoms

on the petals

of dusk

singing

with streamers

from the top

of night’s husk

the flush

of sundown

melts into dark

velvet tones

and the whisper

of midnight

softens the steel

in my bones
