#255 of 365 – “laurels”

“laurels”

I worry

this decision

was foolhardy

and ill-advised

that today

all of the words

have been covered,

disguised

masquerading

as laurels

on which

I can recline,

throw my feet up

and smoke away

the limitless

time

then suddenly

I’m in a tree

too high

to unclimb

dangling

on a limb

above

eleven fifty nine

Oh no, not possible to use up all the words, my friend–even with 1000 veils and a treasure chest full of disguises, and a box of stage makeup/grease paint.
