#278 of 365 – “where the milk of freedom spills”

“where the milk of freedom spills”

I feel sluggish and uncooperative

don’t want to do my chores

I want to linger under sunsets

and meander on the shores

I don’t want to be a parent

or a daughter or a spouse

I want to lounge in bed with who I love

and walk naked through the house

I don’t want to be responsible,

work or pay my bills

I want to ride the waves of liberty

where the milk of freedom spills

but freedom’s milk is quite expensive

and liberty comes with strings

and I want love, marriage, children, a house

and my mother for many more Springs
