#279 of 365 – “fervor and lightning”

 “fervor and lightning”

we lash out

till someone

is dead

till the streets

are broken

and the walls

are red

we don’t listen

don’t hear

don’t feel

a connection

full of death

and raging

such fervor

and lightning

that measures

our cause

as we thunder

and reign

down our stones

without pause

what a chasm

of shattered

we roam

in our desperate

to dig out

a home
