#286 of 365 – “beneath the rain”

“beneath the rain”

rain so thick

it smothers the air

falls heavy like sleep

on a world in disrepair

it hollows the sky

leaving echoes of sun

and torn up pieces of the day

left undone

branches are crying

flowers have drowned

and life has gone quiet

beneath the rain and its sound

Has a nice galloping beat, regular rhyme scheme, and memorable imagery. LOVE “branches are crying”! Ya dun good! –Ron–
