#326 of 365 – “prayers for harm’s way”

 “prayers for harm’s way”

prayers

come a long way

over bloodshed and bones

climb over graves

with no crosses

or stones

they fistfight their way

through riots

and religion

pull up

the bereaved

and souls lost to perdition

they break open

the darkness

for new light to allay

the fears

of our children

who live in harm’s way

Not a “pleasant” poem but “hopeful” and one I can march to if I must…

Yeah…I guess unpleasant events and circumstances make for unpleasant poetry. Always appreciate your comments Ron! Gotta catch up on your work…forgive me for disappearing here and there…it’s a condition. 😉
