#337 of 365 – “something beside”

“something beside”

and what of the women

whose silence is worn

like echoes of living

they secretly mourn

I understand nothing

claim no wisdom to teach

wonder if they’re too deep

in their garments to reach

are their hopes covered up

their thoughts smothered inside

do their dreams fly or breath

is their love cast aside

are their prayers what they’re told to be

or something beside?

Yes! Nicely crafted for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear and use them both. Wonderful!

Wowza-WOW, Merle–mmh, fabulous in its deep pain. You need to publish all of these in book form–and charge a bundle–so much gold.
