4 Haiku



I scrub my floors clean

muddy feet come anyway

tracking depression



squinting and cursing

alone at my job―watching

football on my phone



sink on into it

I say to my daughter; she

doesn’t like the blues



she was never more

beautiful than when Ray sang

to her; America
