#354 of 365 – 4 Haiku

4 Haiku

I scrub my floors clean

muddy feet come anyway

tracking depression

squinting and cursing

alone at my job―watching

football on my phone

sink on into it

I say to my daughter; she

doesn’t like the blues

she was never more

beautiful than when Ray sang

to her; America
