4 Haiku



faulty wiring; my

lights flicker and die; I pray

for new connections



she seemed angry or

hurried, sarcastic perhaps

perils of texting



understanding tones

the modern necessity

of emoticons



I take asylum

hiding inside words where my

neuroses are safe

    Merle, these are brilliant.expressive. In the third one–did you mean “emotions” or maybe “emoticons” is a word I am not familiar with.

      Thanks Mum! And yes…emoticons are the little smiley faces and frowny faces and a million others ie. 🙂 😦 that are often necessary when texting or emailing so whoever you’re talking to understands your mood. Sometimes it’s just for fun. 😉
